White Beauty is ready for the cooler winter weather sporting a Forever 21 scarf and a leopard fedora from Target (that she borrowed from my wardrobe). In case you're new here, White Beauty is the horse head (ZGallerie) that lives above our mantel. She's been with us for over a year now and she's definitely part of the family. We live in the bluegrass surrounded by horse farms so she fits right in.
She can be a little difficult to photograph.
To add some joy to the mantel I used a command strip to adhere this large letter "O" to a chalkboard and then used an alphabet stencil and some chalk for the "J" and "Y".
The only purchases made for this mantelscape were new stockings from Hob Lob at 50% off and a wintery garland from Michaels that was also on sale at 50% off. I paid just $30 for the stockings and garland all together! I layered the garland with some fresh holly from our backyard and a few sparkly red berry picks from last year.
The tinsel trees I've had for years. I love the sparkle they add to the mantel, especially at night.
What does your mantel look like this year? Isn't fun to play around with different looks each year?! I can't wait to stuff those stockings, or I mean I can't wait for Santa to stuff them!

I'm so inspired by looking at your photos and as I was taking mental notes, I noticed that we have the same leather sofa (mine is in front of our fireplace!). I know what I want to do this weekend now ... decorate my mantelpiece for the holidays and jazz it up in the same spirit as you did yours. Thanks!
