I'm all over the map working on a million projects, and yet getting absolutely nothing done! I need to stop and focus on one. thing. at. a. time. Don't you think? Maybe if I make a list of things I'd like to accomplish around the house this year I'll get my head screwed on a little straighter. Or maybe I'll just continue to spas out like the Tasmanian devil. Either will probably be just fine, right?
What have you been up to lately? Does anyone else have a million unfinished projects in the works? Please, someone tell me I'm not alone.

Right there with you, sister! I need to calm the heck down - it's like the "fresh start, new year" has me in a tizzy to start all this stuff! I'm a big list maker, so that's what I'm going to do -- plan out what I want to do based on how far along the project is and just get them all done. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThis is a bad habit of mine as well! I am loving that built in with the black backs!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your projects, my list is getting long!
ReplyDeleteI am right there with you!
ReplyDeleteOh you are so not alone. Can't wait to see the finished projects. My list grows by the minute.
ReplyDeleteHaha. I am with you. Sadly, I am not getting anything accomplished because I am still acting in holiday mode! Haha. I can't wait to see what you are doing with the globe.
ReplyDeleteGirl you are busy!! I can't wait to see how your transforming your fireplace!
ReplyDeleteok so maybe nothing is done, but i am liking the direction it is all going in!
ReplyDeleteYou. Have. No. Idea.
ReplyDeleteDoes it make me a crazy person that I noticed the can of paint open and sitting on carpet? I'm having flashbacks of the time I did that with a can of red paint on white carpet. Then I proceeded to kick it over.
Looking forward to the "afters". :)
Girl I feel your pain. I am packing for a move, painting furniture, and finishing up projects at the new house. Being a modern woman is tough!
ReplyDeleteUmm...I will take that globe. I think I know where that is going. I know exactly how you feel. My main problem is having all these ideas in my head but they stay there. Oh I wish I could paint...my bathroom is CRYING out to me. :)
ReplyDeleteCheers~

Right there with you. Taking time to try and finish up the lose ends before diving into another project because there are like 65 unfinished ones. Blah, so boring. Excited to see what you will do with the globe, fireplace, etc.
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh! I can so relate to this! Its decorating A.D.D. I have so many things I want to do and I start one and get inspired to work on another and NOTHING gets done! We need to start a decorating ADD club and focus on baby-steps. :-)
ReplyDeleteThis could be my blog post every day. It's amazing how many projects can be going on at once, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteIf you do concentrate on and finish one, you will be very proud of yourself :-)
Of course you are the only one doing that! Ahem, well maybe not. Currently I am painting three different rooms, have closets torn apart in two others. I will not talk about the storage tubs I have drug out to rearrange and store some of my excess kitchen serving ware.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping that there is a cure for this type of insanity and I find it soon. Let me know if you do first?
So so not alone, Carmel! The danger of following inspiring blogs and getting hooked on Pinterest!! I need an intervention ;)
ReplyDeleteI think this bad habit comes with being a mom. Multitasking morphs into trying to do too many things and never finishing one of them. I have to stop myself when I walk away from a sink full of dishes to do something random like pay bills. As long as you are prioritizing, can you do the Star Wars room first - that's on my big list of to dos! I so enjoy your blog and how you tell it like it is!
ReplyDeleteYou are not alone...I am working on three projects while reading this blog and responding! Wishing I were an octopus sometimes trying to keep up! Looking forward to the final results!
ReplyDeleteHa! You have to have a millions things going on at once... 1 your are a women and 2 you are a mom and multi tasking is what we do! they will get all done.... that is how I was this weekend! They all look like great projects!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to hear I'm not alone! Amanda - I love your idea! Yes, let's start a club!
ReplyDeleteOH honey you are not alone!! When I think of the projects I WANT to finish and all the projects I OUGHT to finish it makes me want to run far, far away. I mean we are talking about finishing decorating 3 bedrooms, a living room, family room, kitchen, dining room and spare/music/craft room in under 5 months. Thankfully all the painting is done except for the kitchen cabinets. But one bedroom has to be done soon as the poor child graduates May/June time frame and is either going into the military or off to college. Yeah poor kid hasn't had a finished room since we moved here two years ago. It makes me feel like a bad mom.... at least he has one poster finally up. Now to get all of his brothers stuff out of there this week. Good luck on your projects! (and i love the globe.... so so cute!!)
