Pillow Palooza

Right before Christmas I hit the pillow jackpot at Target.  I love pillows!  In my opinion any day is a good day for a little pillow palooza, especially when you score a great deal!  If you've been around this blog for awhile then you know I'm a couponer.  Although, I don't think I've mentioned my love for Target coupons specifically before.  Did you know that Target has their own coupons?  Well, they do.

From the main page you will find that little set of icons in the upper right hand corner of the screen.  Click on coupons and it will take you to a page filled with coups for all kinds of things.  The available coups change regularly, and the best part is you can print as many as you'd like of any particular one!  I never go to Target without checking the coups out first. There is almost always a coup for some free popcorn with a drink or a $.50 off a popcorn coup which always makes my kids happy.  Happy kids make Target shopping even more enjoyable.  Enofe said.   So, what does this have to do with pillows?  Well, you probably guessed it, I bought them all with a coupon!  It was a buy one get one half off coupon, and I printed out quite a few of them.  I wasn't even sure if I was going to use them, but I printed the coupons anyway.  I was on the hunt for some pillows for our basement so I figured they just might come in handy.  Did they ever! 

Every. Single. Pillow. is from Target! 

I didn't want to spend a fortune on pillows for this space because this is the family hang out room.  I want it to be a casual space where we can watch movies and play games together.  These pillows will be tossed around the room and used to build forts so "inexpensive" was key. 

I decided to use my painted copper coffee table down here in the basement.

You don't even want to know about the crazy happy dance I did in the middle of Target when I stumbled across those metallic circle pillows.  It's like peas and carrots or peanut butter and jelly  - those metallic circle pillows were made for my painted copper coffee table! 

I love the texture of these faux fur pillows.  They are so soft and absolutely perfect for movie nights.  They were the most expensive of the bunch at $24.99 but getting two of them for less than $40 didn't hurt too bad.  ;)  They're sold out online but you might be able to find them in store.  

The brown faux bois pillow was on clearance for....dont' hate me.....$7.48!  Holla!  Oh my word I love it!  I actually bought 3 of them - 2 of them are going to be used as floor pillows.  They're the perfect size for lounging on the floor.   I had actually planned to diy some pillows like this but dang if $7.48 is hard to pass up.  To diy or to buy - that is the question.  My answer  - if you can't diy it cheaper then don't bother.  ;) 

So have you had any pillow paloozas lately?  Is it weird that I just realized that I should have titled this post - For the Love of Faux Stuff.  Faux copper table, faux fur, faux bois .........ummmm, someone is a little faux obsessed apparently. 

Random deets you may also want to know:
1.  The leather sectional we've had for years.  We bought it  at EQ3 when we lived in Richmond, VA.
2.  The coffee table is from World Market.  We purchased it almost two years ago and then I painted the top to look like copper.  You can read all the deets on that diy project here.
3.  Target also has a mobile program.  You can sign up for text alerts to have exclusive deals and coupons sent directly to your phone!  The coups they text you are different from the ones you'll find on their website so it's worth signing up for them.  To use a mobile coup you just hand your phone to the cashier which makes it really easy to redeem them.  Go here to sign up and to get all the deets straight from the horse's mouth.
