What you mean you don't want to pin this? ;)
I'm in this season of life where the things I have/want to do far out number the hours I have to make them happen. Plain and simple, my life is messy.
However, it's a beautiful mess, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Number one on my to-do list is hanging out with the crazies.
The most important thing you can do in life is - LOVE ONE ANOTHER. If you've loved on your people today, then you've done enough!
xoxo,

Great advice. The mess will still be there, but those adorable kids grow up so fast. Enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteAmen!
ReplyDeleteI just started following you, and I love your blog, and your outlook on life. You are a sweet young lady :0)

What a great post! And perfect timing because I feel like the Tazmanian Devil today, running around like crazy already. Well at least I loved all over my babes before they went off to school today!
ReplyDeleteStll a beautiful room!!! Great post!
ReplyDeleteThis is the best post!!! We all need to be reminded from time to time-to stop and enjoy (while I sit at my computer with cheetos crunched up underneath my feet and a pile of dirty dishes in the sink).
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with Rasonda that room is still beautiful.
tee-hee AND I pinned it! :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat post, open and honest, just the way I like you:) and I'm going to "borrow" your quote forFB today! Hope you don't mind:)
ReplyDeleteI am going to pin this, as well as share it on my blog! You are such a sweetheart and you have the most beautiful children and home! I really love your website.
ReplyDeleteThey are so darn cute! Just like their mom! ;-)
ReplyDeleteCarmel, just started following your blog last month. And I absolutely LOVE this it!! I was so inspired by White Beauty, that we now have "Blanca" hanging on our fire place! Also love that you are a KY girl, like me! Found you on Pinterest while looking for design ideas for my vaulted family room. I love everything about your house and design! I also adored the post on letting your Geek flag fly! I may or may not have named my son, Sam after a particular, loyal character from Lord of the Rings. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! Tell Blanca I said hi. ;) Sam is one of my favorite boy names!
DeleteHa! Love it, it's reality and we all deal with it. My pictures of my house may look nice on my blog, but in reality, you should see it after my 2 year old goes to bed at night! Yikes!!!!
ReplyDeleteHaha. And I do LOVE it and I do want to PIN that picture...it is raw and honest. Many of our lives are messy too (um-mine definitely is) and I agree---Loving on our family must come first. :)
ReplyDeleteLove this!
ReplyDeleteThank You! My very favorite post I read all day!! Its so important to keep perspective in this crazy life we sometimes try to keep.
ReplyDeleteMy "baby" just turned 18yrs old on Monday, and the other will be 15 soon. I am so glad I was able to enjoy all those moments and not stress too much about the wadded up socks that sat in his doorway for a week! All too soon, those socks will be gone and then I will be sad.
You seriously made me laugh out loud! Thanks for keeping it real!
ReplyDeleteYou seriously made me laugh out loud! Thanks for keeping it real!
ReplyDeleteThank you all so much for being so kind. It's not always easy to put yourself out there - especially when you're a hot mess! ;)
ReplyDeleteGirl, you are so awesome...I am way too skeered to put up any of the hot mess that goes on in Casa Edwards...YIKES. But here you are owning it and giving me a laugh! Love it.
ReplyDeleteYou guys are so cute!!! Happy weekend, sweets!
ReplyDeleteLove this! Thanks for keeping it REAL life!
ReplyDeleteI love this post : ) And that picture of you and the kiddos is just adorable!!! I love the hot mess!! xo
ReplyDeleteoh yes ma'am. This is my life. I swear I spend my whole life cleaning up rooms in this exact state and never have time to do the things I want to make them pretty. I just remind myself (and my husband) that quality time playing on the floor with the babies is worth more than a perfect room!
ReplyDeletegoogle knows it :-D
