Color My World Challenge - Party Time!

This challenge has been so great for me and my entry foyer.  I have to give a big, huge thank you to Suzy from Saved By Suzy and Jessamie from Bird and Branch Redesign for putting this challenge together and including me.  I actually got some stuff done, and my entry foyer looks closer to being finished than it ever has before.

I really enjoyed using my challenge color - grey.  It's a nice compliment to the red walls.

It started with some inspiration.

Then I brought in a little grey via some new art.

Next, I mixed up some homemade chalk paint and got my grey paint party on.

Last, but not least, I scored some grey fabric and covered a few photo mats to give my son's artwork center stage.

All in all, I love me some grey.  For a color I've rarely used before, it feels right at home.  I can definitely see myself adding in some more pops of grey here and there.

Be sure to check out the other bloggers included this challenge and see how they felt about their challenge color.

Carmel - Our 5th House
Shelley - Crazy Wonderful
Tiffany - Living Savvy
Vashti & Jamie - Like me Some...

So now it's your turn to show us what color you've challenged yourself to use in your home.  Have you recently added any new colors in your home?  I can't wait to see!  I'll be featuring a few next Tuesday!

  1. So glad you were apart of the challenge! The gray looks amazing with the red and black, and I still can't get over the picture frames! I think I'm trying that SOON!

  2. It all turned out so great. I don't think you can go wrong with gray.

  3. I love the gray you added, it works well with the red. Enjoyed being a part of this challenge with you! :)

  4. I like the thingy on the wall with the glass doorknobs. You have a beautiful home!

  5. The studs on the gray fabric are cah-razy! And since my mind is clearly on the derby, they look vaguely equestrian as well:)

  6. i love all the gray you have added- the frames and matting are my favorite!

  7. Thanks everyone! It was a really fun challenge!

Be nice or I'll tell your mom! xoxo -C
