I let White Beauty borrow my new Gap scarf. I'll get it back from her on December 26th. ;) The trees are new. I couldn't resist checking out the Christmas decor aisle at Target and absolutely fell in love with their sweet sort of sparse look. They look like little Charlie Brown trees to me. I topped them with a couple of star tree toppers I've had for years. The joy wreath I made last year is on the mantel this year.
I'm using only fresh greenery this year, mostly from our backyard, and I added in a few pine cones from my abundant stash. The pillar candles were wrapped with that same wrapping paper I used on the votives in the breakfast room.
The gold chain from the hardware store I used as garland on our tree last year is strung between the stockings this year. I love the little bit of sparkle its adds to the mantel.
I love this special time of year! Are your stockings hung yet?
Don't forget - there's still time to enter!

I'm sure you've been asked a zillion times but where did you find "White Beauty"? I would love one of my very own. :~)
ReplyDeleteI bought White Beauty a couple years ago from ZGallerie online. I don't think she's available any longer, but you could maybe check eBay.
DeleteJust catching up on December. The scarf looks awesome on White Beauty. I'm not usually into dressing up animals (or fake decor animals) but perhaps she needs a new scarf ... or hat ... or something now and then. Fun!
ReplyDeleteI also wanted to congratulate you for all of your success this year. I am always behind on my blog reading, so I was surprised and delighted to see your name as an OKL curator a few months ago! You seem to have an endless supply of creativity and quite a work ethic, and it's great that you've been able to share your talents with lots of others!
