I'm all about the simple and easy this Christmas.
I gave a few pinecones a gold, glittery makeover with some metallic gold and glitter nail polishes. It took all of maybe 5 minutes. How much more simple or easy could this project be?!
The great thing about using glitter nail polish rather than craft glitter is there is zero mess!
Have you ever nail polished anything other than your nails? It was so easy I can't believe I've never done this before.
On a more serious note - I sincerely want to thank you all for your sweet comments on the loss of our dog Prince. The past couple of days have been a little rough as we're all getting used to our new normal. Your comments and emails have meant so much to me and my family!

such a great non-messy way to glitter. but around these parts, we like to make a mess with our glitter. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love how easy this is - something you can do right at your kitchen table with no mess. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteSo, so sorry about Prince. I missed your blog on Sunday and didn't know. Bless you all.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteLove the idea of using nail polish...I have never tried that. I know what you mean about messy...it looks like the "Glitter Fairy" paid a visit to our house after I finished making my DIY Glitter Crowns!
ReplyDeleteGenius. Love things like this. And your photos are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteOOH I love this idea! Gonna do it tonight :) Thanks for the inspiration!

What a creative way to get those pinecones glittery! I really wanted to add some glittery pinecones to my fireplace decor but I haven't had time so far to actually find pinecones haha.
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous. I love them : )
ReplyDeleteI was also shocked to learn of your loss of your beloved Prince. I am so sorry for your loss, but I also know that he will be reunited with his forever family one day. Linda S. in NE
ReplyDeleteNice! I'm all about keeping things simple around the holidays, too. My pine cones have all already received a layer of glue and glitter but I'll hafta remember this one for next year : ]
ReplyDeleteLove this project -- but of course I do...I love everything you do! Your house looks amazing with all your festive touches!!
