Hey friends! I’m back today with more fall home goodness! This time I’m joining this fabulous five:
We’re all opening our homes to give you a peek at how we fall-ify our nests for the season. In case you missed it, yesterday I took you on a fall tour of my entry foyer, dining room and kitchen, hence the reason this post is titled Part 2. 😉 Today I’m sharing our living room and screen porch; two of my most favorite spaces in our home at this time of year. Fall tends to bring out the cozy, couch potato in me….and our living room and screen porch are perfect for that lazy lounge life. 🙂
If you’re new here, welcome! I’m Carmel, a color-loving, pattern-mixing, diy-design blogger, whose seasonal decorating mantra is……keep it simple.
As I mentioned yesterday I don’t typically bring in any pumpkins around here until October. However as far as I’m concerned as soon as Starbucks brings back the pumpkin spice latte it is “officially fall” y’all! Which for me means bringing on all the cozy layers, yummy textures and gorgeous fall flowers!
This fall I am majorly crushing on the color plum, and I’m especially loving it paired with deep red. There’s just something about this color combo that feels super rich and cozy to me. Plum mums…..I can’t get enough of them!
For me fall decorating is all about bringing in a cozy vibe to my spaces. And I don’t think you necessarily have to use “fall decor accessories” to do that. I like using warm metallics and mercury glass…….
and lots of natural texture.
You remember the brown glass bottles from Part 1 of my Fall Home Tour? Well, clearly I’m turning in to bit of a hoarder…..I just can’t quit collecting/recycling these cuties! This brown color is so perfect for fall!
Moving on to our screen porch, this is my favorite place to end every day! The late afternoon light in here is so warm and lovely.
I love these cozy layers and yummy fall colors!
