Remember back in January when my patio doors were replaced with sliding doors and I talked about how I wasn’t sure whether I should paint them black or white? Yes, I just said, “back in January.” Don’t judge – I’m slow and I get side-tracked pretty easily. Anyhow, guess what?! Thanks to the ol’ Pinterest Challenge that Katie, Sherry, Kate and Michelle issued I finally painted them.
Truth be told, and Andrea can attest to this, I had already taped and primed them long before they issued the challenge, but I still hadn’t painted them until this past weekend. I think I was a little nervous about going black even though that is what I really wanted to do deep down in my design-obsessed heart. White just seems safer, but when they issued the challenge last week I think that was just the push I needed to finally finish this project……… and just paint them black already……… and stop going back and forth…….. and staring at them all taped and primed……….. and doing nothing about it…….. and second guessing myself…………. and just do it already!
Via Pinterest, I found this inspiring picture of black glass paneled doors in a guest bedroom featured at Traditional Home.
So this past weekend, I got busy with my foam roller and Purdy paint brush (that I got at Haven).
Have you done any Pinterest inspired projects lately? Did any of you take the challenge?
