Maybe you already know about this little tip, but in case some of you are unaware I thought I’d go ahead and share this little project. If you’re in the market for some large scale art and don’t want to spend a small fortune, this could be the answer to your blank wall prayers. It’s a perfect weekend project that won’t take much time or money!
Engineering prints from Staples cost mere dollars and come in a variety of large sizes – from 18×24 inches up to 36×48 inches.
I prefer them in black & white, but for a little extra you can have them printed in color. The paper they’re printed on is really thin, but once framed you can hardly tell. I just printed a few of my favorite photos from our spring break trip to Italy. Three 18×24 inch prints came to a whopping total of $5.37! A quick run to Walmart for plain black frames and this gallery wall project was done! You can’t beat the price, and there’s truly nothing better than adorning your walls with meaningful art.
Simple & Understated
You may notice a few other changes I’ve made in here recently. I scored a great deal on a bleached natural fiber rug during Amazon’s prime day sale. And I’ve moved my Lyle side chairs out to the patio to bring in these white metal bentwood style chairs. I’m loving the lighter, neutral look. Since the kitchen, dining and living room are stacked and open to each other I feel like keeping this area really neutral keeps the flow going smoothly from space to space. Yet the textures and patterns still keep her interesting.
While I absolutely love color, neutral spaces do feel like a breath of fresh air sometimes. And in a dining room where I love to style the table for dinner parties and holidays it’s nice to have a neutral backdrop!
Happy Saturday friends! Any weekend projects on your agenda?
