Happy Friday friends! Today I’m joining a bunch of home decor bloggers in a really fun summer home tour organized by Marty at A Stroll Thru Life. If you’re popping over from White Arrow Homes, welcome! As many of you know we’ll be moving into our new house later this year, so for this summer home tour I had originally planned to just snap a few simple pictures of how our current home is looking right now.

But then one morning while I was enjoying a cup of coffee I decided to look through the gallery of art available on our Samsung Frame TV. (Seriously, the best Christmas present I’ve ever received!) And when I found this gorgeous abstract I was totally inspired to make some changes to the bookcases. One thing always leads to another, doesn’t it?

I just shopped my own decor closet, nothing new purchased here, and I’m really happy with this fresh new look! You can check out my 5 step process to styling bookshelves here. I use the same process even time.

It’s always amazing to me how something as simple as restyled bookshelves can give a room a whole new look.

Thanks so much! It’s Sherwin Williams Urbane Bronze. I painted these bookcases a few months after we first moved in, and this is still one of my favorite projects I’ve done in this house! Absolutely LOVE this gorgeous, rich shade! 🙂
