Happy Sunday evening friends! I don’t usually post on Sunday nights, but tonight I’m participating in a fun and festive Twilight Tour of Homes with some of my favorite creative blogger gals! If you’re new here visiting for the first time, welcome to my slightly spookified home. Those that have been around for awhile know that my Halloween decor is on the cute-sy side with a little creepy mixed in for good measure. There’s absolutely nothing down right scary around here.

At Dusk
We actually hosted a fun adult-only Halloween party last night. Our wedding anniversary and my birthday both fall in the month of October, so we love to entertain at this time of year! I snapped the picture below right around dusk just before guests started to arrive.

Living Room
Since I had already given the living room a few festive touches for the holiday, I didn’t have too much to do in the way of party decor preparation which made hosting a breeze.

Party Decor
Really all I did for the party was to give the buffet table a little spook. One bag of plastic spiders was worth its weight in Halloween gold.

I have a thing for cocktail napkins, and this Target find was a hit! I mean, but really, how good are they?

I added some paper rats to the window behind the food table because rats and food seem like a fitting combination for Halloween. 😉

And a few rats made their way to the living room gallery wall.

Powder Room
Whenever we’re entertaining I like to give our powder room a festive vibe. Sometimes its just the addition of fresh flowers, but for last night’s party I did a little more than my usual sprucing.

Still it was pretty simple and easy, and everyone seemed to like the googly eyes I added to my art print.

Prepping for the party was a family affair even though it was an adult-only party. This was my daughter’s decor contribution. 🙂

We also added an extra theme to the night, requesting that all our guests show up in 80’s themed costumes and playing only 80s music all night. It was such fun night! The hubs had way too much fun being Adam Ant for the night, and while I loved my Cheer Bear onesie I eventually changed into a flash dance costume because it was just too hot!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this fun twilight tour of our Halloween home. Be sure to check out all the others homes on the tour! Happy Halloween!
